A magnitude 9.0 earthquake in Seattle?

The recent New Yorker article The Really Big One, about a magnitude 9.0 earthquake in Seattle has sparked a lot of interest in emergency preparedness.  You should take time now to build a kit, make a plan and take one more important step of meeting your neighbors in advance of the big one.  The City of Seattle’s program Seattle Neighbors Actively Prepare (SNAP) is a way for you to work with your neighbors to create a plan for how you can help each other in the event of a disaster.

The City of Seattle has multiple plans and activities, you can view them here:  City of Seattle Preparedness Response 2015.  And if you are prepared, and the people are around you are prepared, we can all make it through when the big one comes.  If you would like to join in on our Hub level training and practice drills, please check out our calendar page.
