Back in 2007, the Seattle Emergency Hubs began as a small idea — neighbors helping neighbors prepare for the unexpected. Fast forward to today, and that idea has blossomed into a powerful, citywide network of more than 65 active community groups dedicated, trained, and ready to “stand up” to support their neighbors when disaster strikes. 💪🏽 💪🏼 💪🏾
We’re proud to say that this incredible all-volunteer effort has grown beyond what our current structure can support. To keep thriving — and to ensure that Seattle’s neighborhoods remain resilient and connected for years to come — we’re expanding and evolving our organization.
This next step will help us build a stronger foundation for sustainability, open new doors for partnerships, and continue the spirit of community that has fueled us since day one.
We’re still the same fabulous bunch of community-minded folks, working closely with (but independently from) the City of Seattle — and there’s always room for you at the table.
