Skills Fair – Garfield Hub

Learn how to prepare yourself and your household for a disaster in this hands-on event.  Appropriate for all ages.  Everyone welcome!

Learn what to do if the earth starts shaking; how to handle natural gas if you smell a leak in the line.  Learn how neighbors will work together to support one another and what the Garfield Hub is capable of in such an event.

Attendees will learn how Seattle is preparing for a major disaster, what supplies to have in your home, how to prepare family and pets, how to store and/or sterilize water, food safety, sanitation post-disaster, communications post-disaster and more.
