“Hub in Box” Funding Process Released
Posted by: admin
Thanks to the Seattle City Council and with the advocacy of the Seattle Office of Emergency Management and the Seattle Department of Neighborhoods, The Hub in a Box application has been finalized and the application period is open now until Oct 28. It is now posted on the OEM website: http://www.seattle.gov/emergency-management/working-together/community-emergency-hubs
This is a new program that will allow hubs that are just starting out, a simplified way to apply for funds to get their communications supplies and a box to put them in. As information is our commodity, most of the supplies are for writing and information transfer (white boards, pens, paper/forms, and a shelter tent or two). Details about qualifying criteria and considerations are all at the link above. There is enough funding to provide 12 hub groups with up to $1500, so this is a great opportunity.
