As is the tradition, each week of National Preparedness Month has a designated theme:
• Week 1 (August 28-September 3): Promote National Preparedness Month
• Week 2 (September 4-10): Preparing Family and Friends
• Week 3 (September 11-17): Preparing Through Service
• Week 4 (September 18-24): Individual Preparedness
• Week 5 (September 25-30): Lead-up to National PrepareAthon! Day
More information about each of these themes is available on Ready.gov/september, where you can also find social media content, 2016 NPM logo, graphics, and more to share with your friends and family.

Great write-up, I’m a regular visitor of your blog.
I love reading your content.
Howdy, i read your blog occasionally and i own a similar one and i was just curious if you get a lot of spam comments? If so how do you stop it, any plugin or anything you can recommend? I get so much lately it’s driving me mad so any help is very much appreciated.
Hi Olin,
You can create a list of words and phrases that you consider spam; i.e., profanity, pharma drugs and porn. Then apply the list to the block those words, phrases and domains from ever entering your comment inbox. Then add to the list as you go. There are plugins as well.
Hello would you mind stating which blog platform you’re working with? I’m looking to start my own blog soon but I’m having a difficult time making a decision between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal. The reason I ask is because your design seems different then most blogs and I’m looking for something unique. P.S Apologies for getting off-topic but I had to ask!
Hi Alexander,
This WordPress Multi-site is a custom design. The theme was created by 5 students at Seattle Central College.
