The Beacon Hill area is seriously under–represented in terms of community emergency hubs, and the Beacon Emergency Action Network (BEAN) is asking you to join us to help bring our neighborhood the healthy resiliency we deserve. It’s been proven that neighborhoods where people are connected survive and thrive when things fall apart.
BEAN is a grassroots movement and it begins with neighbor–to–neighbor introductions. Our drop–in meeting is your chance to sign up to commit you and your neighbors to our newly forming Emergency Network. Local information will be provided to help you and your families and neighbors begin the process of creating safety networks.
Meet representatives from Seattle preparedness programs: Seattle Neighbors Actively Prepare (SNAP), the Seattle Emergency Communications Hubs, HAM radio operators and others to get information on how you can learn about alternative methods of communication, safe spaces, and other subjects. Translation services provided.
