The King County Emergency Planning Institute is offering training for community and faith-based organizations on preparedness planning. The class is designed and led by emergency management and outreach professionals with experience supporting local organizations in their preparedness efforts. They are designed to strengthen the organization’s ability to effectively respond when facing the unexpected. Participants will gain a better understanding of what makes an effective preparedness plan, and develop a road map for improving existing plans and procedures.
– Understand the importance of promoting personal preparedness throughout your organization
– Understand the importance of an organizational continuity plan and the key elements of an effective plan
– Identify gaps in existing plans
