Hold the date! Hubs Disaster Practice

Locations are still in work – here are the details for our citywide disaster practice.

On June 1^st  (Saturday) and June 9^th (Sunday), multiple Hubs throughout Seattle will activate their volunteers, set up the Hub, and simulate helping their neighbors.  Our practice scenario…  the entire city was shaken by a 6.1 magnitude earthquake along the Seattle Fault Line.

We invite you to join us!  Plan to stop by any time between 1 – 3 on either date.  There are many great reasons to do so –

• Learn how the Hubs operate.
• Find your role in a disaster – community resilience is key.
• Help by becoming an “actor” to read a script and giving us a problem to work.
• Observe how radio communications will be essential in a major power-out disaster.
• This two day set will be our only major field exercise in 2024!
