DESCRIPTION:Fast\, Light\, Digital     \nHam – and GMRS – radio operators can receive digital information by placing their radio next to a laptop computer.  Fast\, Accurate communications!  (Only Ham radios can send digital messages…) \n\nSaturday\, July 19\n3pm to 4:30pm’ish  (leave when you feel comfortable using FLDigi)\nGreenwood Library (8016 Greenwood Ave N\, Seattle\, WA 98103)\n\nREGISTER HERE…  https://signup.com/go/jiajeEn \nNote:  \n\nGMRS radio must be able to monitor Ham frequencies\nLaptop must have a working microphone\nThe FLDigi program must be loaded on the laptop.  Directions available HERE.\n\nDuring the workshop\, Elmers will ensure you can receive digital messages.  Once you’ve been successful\, you’ll be asked to shut down your laptop and reboot so you’re comfortable troubleshooting the program from a hard stop. \nDownload the FLDigi program to your laptop before the workshop.  Directions available HERE. \nIf you struggle with the download\, come anyway.  We’ll have the program on a thumb drive and can help on site! \n \n
