Practice with us!
-

Every June, volunteers with Seattle’s “Emergency Hubs” practice responding to a disaster. We set up our canopies, assume various roles within the Hub, and coordinate efforts so neighbors feel safe and supported after a disaster. It’s interesting work – and very rewarding!
This year’s exercise is “UNPLUGGED”. We are practicing our response to a power outage!
Getting involved is easy… when you arrive, we’ll hand you a piece of paper and ask you to read it to the “Greeter”. The Greeter will guide you through the Hub system so you get your need(s) met. Maybe you…
- lost a dog
- need shelter
- have some first aid training and want to help
Learn with us. You already have what’s needed to be successful in the Hub – a desire to support your neighbors.
