Leaders from international learning program speak with Hub Captains
Seattle was a stop on a national tour made by a number of leaders from other countries studying preparedness planning in the United States. The visit was coordinated through the World Affairs Council International Visitors Leadership Program and included participants from the following countries; Bolivia, Grenada, Guinea, Japan, Malawi, Nepal, Norway, Papua New Guinea, Russia, Tajikistan and Vietnam. During their three day stop in Seattle, the delegation met with Hub Captains from several hubs, to learn more about grass roots community preparedness and how the hubs work. It was a great exchange of information; we learned about some of the concerns and barriers in other countries and also took away ideas out how to do better outreach and community connecting here in Seattle.
