March training events
Posted by: admin
There is a LOT of interest in emergency preparedness now! In March, the hubs will be involved with 7 local organizing and training sessions. Many thanks to those Hub Captains and neighborhood groups who are sponsoring these sessions and to the city’s Office of Emergency Management for coordinating the instructors for training.
In the Central District, neighbors in the North Garfield neighborhood held a Seattle Neighbors Actively Prepare (SNAP) session to start to map their neighborhood. They are the first group organizing under the banner of “Central District Prepares”. Foore info on their work, email resilience.cd@gmail.com
On Beacon Hill, the Beacon Emergency Action Network (BEAN) organized a Disaster Skills training session, and will have a second session on March 21 covering Basic First Aid. More info at the BEAN Facebook page or on our Hub calendar.
